Creator protection

Content & Copyright Policy

Effective 20 July 2026 · Version 2026-07-20

1. Creator rights

Your work remains yours to the extent you hold rights in it. Publishing on GENR8 does not give other users permission to copy, repost, sell, remove attribution from, scrape, or use the work for model training. The limited operational licence granted to GENR8 is described in the Terms of Use.

GENR8 cannot guarantee copyright protection for a purely AI-generated output or prevent a person from screen-capturing public content. Creators should keep source files, prompts, drafts, timestamps, editing history, and applicable AI-tool licence records as evidence of their process and rights.

2. Upload declaration

Before publishing, a creator must confirm that they own the work or have the permissions needed to upload it; that references, datasets, models, brands, and likenesses are used lawfully; and that the post complies with this Policy. False declarations may lead to removal or account action.

3. Prohibited content

  • Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or another person's rights.
  • Sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, or sexualised deepfakes.
  • Credible threats, incitement to violence, targeted harassment, hateful abuse, or content promoting self-harm.
  • Deceptive impersonation, fraud, undisclosed harmful synthetic media, or manipulation intended to mislead people about a real event or person.
  • Malware, active scripts, credential theft, unsafe attachments, spam, or instructions primarily intended to facilitate serious wrongdoing.
  • Personal data exposed without a lawful basis, especially credentials, financial details, precise private locations, or sensitive records.

4. Lawful exceptions and context

GENR8 considers context and does not treat every reuse as infringement. Applicable quotation, criticism, review, caricature, parody, pastiche, news reporting, research, accessibility, or other statutory exceptions and limitations remain available. Reports must not be used to silence lawful criticism or competition.

5. Reporting illegal or infringing content

Use the in-product Report control where available. A person without an account, or a rights holder providing a formal notice, may email contact@genr8art.com with the subject “Content notice”. Include:

  • your name, email address, and authority to act;
  • the exact GENR8 URL and enough information to identify the content;
  • a clear explanation of why the content is illegal or infringes identified rights, including the relevant territory;
  • for copyright notices, identification of the protected work and evidence of ownership or authority;
  • a good-faith statement that the information is accurate and complete; and
  • any supporting documents that can be shared lawfully.

Do not send unnecessary identity documents or sensitive personal data. A precise notice enables faster review. Knowingly false or abusive notices may result in restriction and may create legal liability.

6. Review and action

GENR8 will acknowledge sufficiently actionable notices, assess the identified content, and act expeditiously where removal or restriction is justified. Possible outcomes include no action, reduced visibility, removal, preservation of evidence, warnings, feature limits, suspension, or referral to an authority.

Decisions should consider the notice, the uploader's explanation, available evidence, applicable exceptions, urgency, repeat behaviour, and the proportionality of the action. Illegal-content decisions and material account restrictions should receive a statement of reasons where required by law.

7. Counter-notice and appeal

A creator who believes content was restricted in error may reply to the decision email or write to contact@genr8art.com with the decision reference, reasons, and supporting evidence. A different reviewer should assess the appeal where practicable. Restored content does not prevent a rights holder from pursuing court remedies.

8. Repeat misuse

GENR8 may suspend users who repeatedly upload manifestly illegal content and may restrict persons who repeatedly submit manifestly unfounded notices, after considering frequency, severity, intent, and context. Enforcement is not automatic solely because a numerical threshold is met.
